Explanation
Simple coordination type sulfide minerals. The chemical formula is ZnS. It often contains isomorphic mixtures such as Fe, Mn, Cd, Ga, In, Gf, T1, etc. sphalerite formed at high and intermediate temperatures is dark in color and coexists with arsenojpyrite, pyrrhothe, chalcopyrite, pyrite, quartze, etc. The sphalerite of mesothermal origin is brown and light brown, coexisting with galena, chalcopyrite, pyrite, quartze, caldte, etc. The sphalerite formed by low-temperature hydrothermal solution is light in color and coexists with minerals without or less iron ions. It is the main raw mineral material for refining zinc. In addition, rare elements such as Cd, In, Ga, Ge can also be extracted.
