There is no unified statement in the world. The American PET Neighborhood Committee defines a fiber with a monofilament fineness of 0.3~1.0 dtex as a superfine fiber, Japan defines a fiber with a monofilament fineness of less than 0.55 dtex as a superfine fiber, and Italy defines a fiber with a monofilament fineness of less than 0.5 dtex as a superfine fiber. However, most people believe that a fiber with a monofilament fineness of less than 1 dtex is a superfine fiber, while a fiber with a monofilament fineness of less than 0.1 dtex is considered as an extremely fine fiber. The textile industry in China believes that the fineness of monofilament is less than 0 44 dtex fiber is defined as superfine fiber. Most synthetic fiber can be used to prepare superfine fiber, such as polyamide, polyester, polypropylene, polyacrylonitrile and other fibers.
