Biological composite materials are materials composition of two or more different materials, mainly used for the repair and replacement of human tissues and the manufacture of artificial organ. According to different substrates, biological composite materials can be divided into three categories: macromolecule matrix, metal matrix and ceramic matrix composite. They can be used as the base material of biological composite materials or as reinforcements or fillers. Their mutual collocation or combination forms a large number of biomedical composite materials with different properties. According to the type and degree of tissue reaction caused by implantation of materials, biological composite materials can be divided into bioinert, bioactivity, biodegradation and absorbable composite materials. According to the shape and properties of reinforcement, it can be divided into fiber reinforced biomedical composite and particle reinforced biomedical composite.
