Explanation
Impurities that can provide conduction band electrons to semiconductors, also known as n-type impurity. After ionization of this impurity, the guide band provides electrons, and it becomes an immovable positive ion. The minimum energy required for the ionization of donor to generate electrons is called ionization energy. At room temperature, the donor that can generate ionization by relying on thermal energy is called shallow donor.
