backing materials refers to the materials used as the substrate. In semiconductor technology, backing materials is commonly used in epitaxial growth, mostly sapphire, monocrystalline silicon, etc. In LTPS (low temperature polycrystalline silicon panel) technology, backing materials often refers to the substrate used as a carrier. In a narrow sense, backing materials refers to glass substrate, quartze substrate and flexible substrate in LTPS. backing materials needs to meet the following requirements: good interface characteristics, good chemical stability, good thermal stability, high optical performance, good machinability, low price, easy to manufacture large size.
