Also called relaxation time. It is a physical quantity to measure the relaxation process of macromolecule. It refers to the time required for materials to reach a new equilibrium state adapted to the external field through molecular motion under the external field force. Under the same other conditions, the smaller the unit of molecular motion is, the smaller the interaction distance between molecules is. The lower the activation or conditioning energy required to overcome the barrier of thermal motion is, the shorter the relaxation time is. The diversity of macromolecule structural units determines that the relaxation time of each macromolecule is not a single value, but a continuous and wide distribution.
