The composite materials is made of ceramics materials as the matrix and ceramics, carbon fiber and refractory metal fiber, crystal whisker, wafer and particle as reinforcement through appropriate composition process. ceramics materials have a wide range of service temperatures, especially at high temperatures, they can still maintain high strength, modulus, corrosion resistance, wear resistance and other properties, but their applications are greatly limited due to their inherent brittleness and strength dispersion. When ceramic matrix composite is made of reinforced and toughened materials, it can overcome the weakness of low toughness and high brittleness of ceramics matrix and make it have both high strength and high conductivity. Due to the short development history of ceramic matrix composite, the interface reaction is easy to occur in the process, which makes the reinforcement degenerate. The process method is not yet mature and is still in the research and development stage. At present, the main application targets are heat-resistant components of high-temperature engines, thermal protection of spacecraft, and high-temperature heat exchangers.
