Explanation
It refers to silicate mineral with frame structure of crystal belonging to tetragonal system. The mineral similar to feldspar in chemical composition is called feldspathoid, and leucite is a typical feldspathoid. leucite occurs only in igneous rocks and is a potassium bearing aluminosilicate mineral. Generally, leucite has certain shapes, such as tetragonal trioctahedron, cube, rhombic dodecahedron, etc. leucite is not very bright, white or slightly yellow or gray. Potassium is the main plant nutrient. The potassium contained in leucite will run out after leucite weathering, so the soil there will become very fertile. There is a leucite mountain in the United States, which is the world famous leucite producing area. leucite can be used to extract potassium, aluminum and alum raw materials. A large amount of leucite is found in the leucite phonolite of Niangniang Mountain in Tongjing, Jiangsu Province, China.
