It is a circular container that utilizes magnetic constraints to achieve controlled nuclear fusion. Its name Tokamak comes from rings, vacuum chambers, magnets, and coils. Originally invented by Azimovich and others at the Kurchatov Institute in Moscow, Soviet Union, in the 1950s. In the center of the Tokamak is a circular vacuum chamber with coils wrapped around it. When the Tokamak is powered on, a huge spiral magnetic field will be generated inside the Tokamak to heat the plasma to a very high temperature for the purpose of nuclear fusion.
