Explanation
It is also called pole climbing phenomenon, climbing rod effect or axis wrapping phenomenon. When the shaft rotates rapidly in the macromolecule melt, the melt will climb around the shaft, or when the shaft is a hollow tube, the liquid in the tube will rise. This phenomenon is related to the normal stress effect caused by the viscoelasticity of macromolecule.
