Explanation
A typical type of line defect in crystal, serious atomic dislocation occurs in a very small area near the line. It is the boundary between areas that have already slipped and areas that have not. The displacement distance around a linear atom is called the slip vector or Burgers vector. It can be divided into three types: blade type, screw type, and mixed type.
