Commonly known as Lidefen. It is an internal color pigment composed of mixed crystal of sulfide and barium sulfate. It is a non-toxic white crystalline powder, insoluble in water, and can decompose with acid to release hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen sulfide and alkali. After being exposed to ultraviolet radiation in sunlight for 67 hours, it turns pale gray and returns to its original color even in the dark. It is prone to oxidation in the air and deteriorates after being affected by moisture. The higher the content of zinc sulfide in lithophone, the stronger the covering power. The higher the quality, the general content of sulfurized catalpa is 30%, and special varieties can reach up to 60%. The preparation process is as follows: the barium sulfate solution prepared by reducing barite powder is mixed with zinc sulfide solution, and the white precipitation obtained is washed, filtered, dried, burned at high temperature and crushed to obtain lithophone pigment. lithophone is commonly used in coatings, ink, rubber, plastics products and building materials industries because of its good heat resistance, weather resistance, algae prevention, cost reduction and whiteness with excellent covering power.
