Explanation
Also called vicker indentation method method, it is widely used to measure the hardness and fracture toughness of ceramics materials. Use a diamond pyramid indenter with a face angle of 136 °, press it onto the polished surface of materials under appropriate load, and unload it after a certain time. Calculate the load stress on the unit area of the indentation by measuring the diagonal length of the indentation, that is, Vikers hardness hardness Hv.
