Explanation
The polymer powder materials used to make denture base is its trade name. There are two categories of thermal coagulation and self coagulation. The main components of thermal coagulation are polymethyl methacrylate bead polymer and a small amount of metal oxide colorant, such as cadmium red. Its color mainly simulates the color of oral mucosa, and sometimes a small amount of dyed synthetic fiber, such as acetate fiber, is added to simulate microvessels. Self curing denture base polymer powder is mainly composed of methyl methacrylate polymer or binary or ternary copolymer of methyl methacrylate and methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate or butyl acrylate, with a molecular weight of 200000. 400000, in addition, there are initiator, such as benzoyl peroxide and colorant, such as cadmium red. When applied, denture base polymer powder and corresponding denture support water shall be used in a certain proportion.
