The trade name of the polymer liquid materials used to make denture base is denture base water. There are two major categories: thermosetting and self setting. The main components of thermosetting denture base polymer liquid are methyl methacrylate (purity more than 97.5%, relative density about 0.94) and a small amount of stabilizer, such as hydroquinone or 2,6-di-tert-butyl-p-cresol. An appropriate amount of cross linking agent, such as ethylene glycol dimethacrylate and propylene methacrylate, can also be added to improve the performance. A small amount of crosslinking agent can also be added. When applied, denture base polymer liquid and corresponding denture base polymer powder shall be used in a certain proportion.
