Explanation
The best quality of Hetian white jade is called Suet jade. The sheepskin is white, soft and even in color, sometimes with a small amount of sugar. The texture is dense and delicate, smooth and tough, and basically free from grain cracks, impurities, and other defects. See nephrite.
