A kind of nearly inert biological cemmics prepared from high-purity zirconia (Zr02). The high-purity Zr02 containing a small amount of alkaline earth oxides (calcium oxide, magnesium oxide) or rare earth oxides (yttrium oxide) as stabilizer is prepared by high-temperature sintering. The stabilizer makes the high-temperature phase such as square and cubic of the vaporized zirconium become metastable phase and partially retain at room temperature. Compared with alumina ceramics, zirconia ceramics realize phase transformation toughening by transformation the high-temperature phase in its structure into the room temperature rhombic phase, so zirconia bioceramics not only have good wear resistance, physiological corrosion resistance and biocompatibility, but also have better fracture toughness and strength than alumina ceramics. The hip joint head made of it is also correspondingly 20% smaller than the alumina joint head, so it has better wear resistance and service life. zirconia bioceramics are mainly used to repair and replace materials such as artificial Guanzhu, dental implant and other hard tissues.
