A substance that can obtain electrons in an oxidation-reduction reaction. Substances in interstitial propellants usually refer to substances that can provide oxygen for other component reactions, such as ammonium perchlorate, ammonium nitrate, nitration oil, etc. Their oxygen supply capacity is generally expressed by residual oxygen coefficient or oxygen balance. However, in composite homogeneous propellant, it generally refers to the solid substances that can provide the oxidizing elements needed to maintain the combustion of propellant. For example, ammonium perchlorate, ammonium nitrate, nitroform hydrazine, octogen, RDX, etc. are collectively referred to as oxidizer.
