Explanation

The discipline of extracting metals or gold compounds from ores and making metallic materials with certain properties by different processing methods. The fields can generally be divided into two types: ① extraction or chemistry; ② Physics. The former uses different chemical methods to extract metals from metal ores, and also includes refining metals to industrial purity. The latter studies the origin of metal itself or metal compounds, and produces new products or improves product properties through alloy, deformation and heat treatment, including machining, rolling, bending, drawing, foundry and powder ferrous metallurgy and non iron metallurgy (non-ferrous metallurgy).
