A high-temperature superconducting thin film composed of yttrium, barium, and copper with a stoichiometric ratio of 1:2:3 and oxygen atoms. The orthogonal phase is superconducting phase. Almost all methods for preparing thin films, such as electron beam evaporation, molecular beam epitaxy, ion beam sputtering, magnetron sputtering, pulsed laser deposition, chemical vapor deposition (CVD), can be used to prepare films with good quality. High quality YBa2Cu307 films with axial orientation can be epitaxial growth on many single crystal substrates and some composition substrates with isolation layers.
