A carbonate rock with dolomite as the main mineral. It is often mixed with caldte, quartze, clay mineral and organic matter. It is in a block shape. The colors include white, gray white, light gray, light gray purple, yellow white, and sometimes gray black. Mostly fine-grained to medium grained structure. The appearance is similar to limestone, but the hardness is greater than limestone. The rock surface often has pores, cavities and crisscross solution ditches, and bubbles slowly when dilute hydrochloric acid is added. According to the structure, it can be divided into crystalline dolomitite, dissimilatory grain dolomitite, clastic dolomitite, microcrystalline dolomitite, etc. dolomitite is widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry, architecture, ceramics, glass and other fields. In metallurgical industry, it is mainly used as refractory, and a small part is used as flux. It can also be used to prepare caststone, refine magnesium metal, and manufacture calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer. dolomitite for chemical industry is mainly used to manufacture magnesium containing cement.
