Organic materials with semiconductor properties, that is, conductivity between metals and insulators, and thermal activated electric conductivity are called. It can be divided into small molecules, polymer and charge transfer complexes. Small molecules mainly include polycyclic aromatic compounds, dye or dyestuffc, organometallic compounds, etc; polymer include polymer with saturated main chains and various conjugated polymer, such as polyvinylcarbazole, polyphenylene, polyacetylene, etc. Charge transfer complexes are composed of two parts: electron donor and acceptor. The donor includes alkali metal, tetramethyl-p-phenylenediamine (TMPD), tetrathiotetrabenzene (TTT), triethylamine (TEA), etc. The acceptor includes tetracyanoethylene, etc. organic semiconductor can modulate its conduction type and resistivity by doping method.
