It is used for smelting various precision alloy, electrothermal alloy, hard magnetic alloy, neodymium iron boron, amorphous nanocrystal materials, low-carbon ultra low-carbon stainless steel and Armco-iron of powder metallurgy. The purity of iron is generally 99.5% -99.8%, the carbon content is less than 0.01%, and the total impurity content is less than 0.5%. As it is mainly used as melting raw material, there are no strict restrictions on appearance quality, specifications, dimensions and performance, but there are clear requirements on impurity content. China (GB/T 9971-2004) adopts the method of adding a serial number after the letter YT to represent the brand, and the chemical composition of different brands has clear regulations.
