metamorphic rock with schistose structure mainly composed of mica. It is the most common rock type in schist. The main mineral composition is biotite or/and muscovilte, followed by quartze and a small amount of iron almandine, staurolite, kyanite and other characteristic metamorphic minerals, which often appear as metamorphic phenocryst. It can be further named according to the type and characteristics of mica contained, such as garnet black, staurolite garnet two mica schist. They are products of intermediate IK domain metamorphism of muddy rocks.
