It is also called reinforcing agent and reinforcement materials. It refers to materials that is mixed into plastics to significantly improve the tensile strength, bending strength and other mechanical properties of plastics products and can be firmly bonded with resin. The reinforced plastics have significantly improved tensile strength, rigidity, fatigue resistance, creep resistance, heat deflection temperature and reduced molding shrinkage. The tensile strength of some reinforced plastics (such as glass fiber reinforced plastics) is even close to or more than that of steel product. When added to polymer materials, it can combine with polymer materials phase to integrate its own special properties with the basic properties of polymer materials. At present, reinforced plastics have been widely used in automobile, machinery and aerospace. There are many kinds, which can be roughly divided into fiber, crystal whisker, inorganic nanomaterials, composition reinforcement materials, special powder and sheet filler.
