The melting and casting composite explosive composed of RDX and 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene is divided into two types in the United States, namely, TT explosive from Russia and black ladder explosive explosive from China. It not only maintains the characteristics of Hexogen's high energy, but also maintains the good formability of 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene's steam melting casting. It is the most important explosive charge for conventional weapons. Its disadvantage is that the grain is brittle, easy to shrinkage hole, crack and oil seepage, and irreversible expansion occurs at the same time. Used for loading anti-personnel shells, explosive shells, armor piercing shells, missile warheads, aerial bombs, and underwater weapons.
