Explanation

A kind of intermediate igneous rock with porphyritic texture with the same composition as syenite. Mostly light gray or flesh red. Porphyritic texture, phenocryst is mostly orthoclase feldspar, sometimes plagioclase, and the matrix is microcrystalline or fine-grained structure. Massive structure. Often present as veins and walls. The use is similar to that of syenite.
