In the sintering process, the sintering body gets the maximum density. sintering refers to the shrinkage of sintering process of powder superficially, and the linear shrinkage, volume shrinkage and porosity reduction of samples can be used as characterization parameters. densification is the key to improve the properties of powder metallurgy materials and products. Although the densification degree can be improved by sintering after pressing, the improvement of unmetallic properties of powders is limited. Therefore, a fully dense process has been developed, which combines pressure and temperature to achieve the goal of eliminating pores. Many powder metallurgy materials, after full densification treatment, have better properties than forgings. Common densification processes include conventional sintering, infiltration, hot pressing, hot isostatic pressing, hot extrusion, hot rolling, power forging, etc.
