合金元素含S在5%-10%的中碳超高强度钢。是在热作模具钢基础上发展起来的，主要合金元素有Cr、Mo、W、V和Si等，淬透性很高，通常可空淬获得完全马氏体组织，经500-600°C的高温回火析出弥散的M2C和MC型碳化物产生二次硬化效应。室温抗拉强度吋达1500MPa以上，在300-500℃温度下仍保持很髙的强度，适于中温条件下使用。采用奥氏体形变热处理工艺，可使屈服强度达到2500MPa以上，同时保持适当塑性。
