Explanation
layered oxide minerals. It forms three homogenous images with rutile and anatase. Mainly in the Alps, it coexists with quartze, albite feldspar, chlorite, sphene, rutile, anatase, etc., forming later than rutile and earlier than anatase. Stable under natural conditions. Appears in placers. It is a raw mineral material for refining titanium.
